Water Main Break Floods Arcadia Streets, Yards
ARCADIA (CBS) — Police say a water main broke in an upscale Arcadia neighborhood and caused street flooding early Thursday.
The flooding in the 1000 block of Singing Wood Drive also sent water into at least one yard, duping mud and water into a swimming pool and onto tennis courts, according to a witness.
The problem was reported about 1 a.m. on Singing Wood near Dexter Avenue, an Arcadia police dispatcher said.
By 3 a.m., city utility workers were at the scene, trying to repair the leak. The dispatcher did not know whether any homes were affected by a shut-off or when repairs would be complete.
