Barney's Beanery is like paradise for sports lovers with its selection of more than 200 beers and 700 menu items. Given its location near UCLA, expect a young crowd of the college variety. The food is pretty good here but the daily drink specials are even better.

SmithHouse is another good sports bar featuring at least 120 beers on tap and award-winning BBQ dishes brought in by its new chef, Efrain Cuevas, who won a bronze medal in an international BBQ competition. Fear not if you can't eat BBQ because what makes SmithHouse one of the best sports bars are its vegetarian and gluten-free options, including gluten-free beer, which you don't find at most other bars. Like any good sports bar, there are tons of TVs and ample seating as well, but be sure to get there before any big games start because there only five booths with a built-in tap system for you to pour your own beer if the novelty excites you.

This divey sports bar is a neighborhood gem with 17 television screens, one of which is bound to be playing your favorite sports team. The staff is friendly and said to be so attentive that you may never find the bottom of your glass before the game is over. This place definitely has a hometown feel to it, especially when you're looking at it from the outside. The Tavern sports a diverse crowd, but a mellow one nonetheless.

The Underground is a very chill environment with a few big -screen TVs right in the middle of the bar so you can play some pool, shoot darts or converse with friends without missing a beat. It's definitely one of the best sports bars in South Bay despite the fact that it doesn't have as many TVs as your typical sports bar, but there are definitely enough. There's even a designated seating area exclusively for those who want to watch the game front and center. Underground televises almost all of the major sporting events.
