Was Woman Who Jumped Nude From 15-Story Building Patient Of Renowned Plastic Surgeon?
BEVERLY HILLS (CBSLA.com) — Was the woman who jumped nude from the roof of a 15-story building Wednesday morning the patient of a renowned plastic surgeon?
Dr. Brian Novack is described as a plastic surgeon to the stars.
The 53-year-old unidentified woman jumped from the roof of a building in the 400 block of Camden Drive.
Sunday night, flowers, candles and notes left by strangers were left at the site where the woman took her own life.
KCAL9's Suraya Fadel said police still didn't want to confirm many details other than to say the case is still under investigation.
"What happened, what triggered this? Nobody knows, no one knows. It's a mystery," said Harold Cal, a Beverly Hills resident.
The Hollywood Reporter is reporting the woman was a patient of Dr. Brian Novack's but police would not confirm this. Calls to the doctor's office were not returned, reported Fadel.
Officials would only say the woman went to the roof about 7 a.m. and jumped three hours later.
The woman was described as despondent, non-communicative and that she had undergone a facelift procedure the day before.
She was reportedly kept overnight for observation. It's alleged she had a possible reaction to her anesthesia.
Lisa Vanderpump, whose restaurant Villa Blanca is across the street from where the incident happened, tweeted that morning: "Sadly a woman threatening to commit suicide for the last few hours has followed thru. Terrible scene."
The restaurant's manager told Fadel that days later the incident is still a topic of water cooler conversation.
The woman was declared dead at Cedars-Sinai Hospital.
