Was Sitcom Star Asked To Leave Dodger Stadium After Verbal Altercation?
LOS ANGELES (CBS) — TMZ.com reported "Modern Family" actor Eric Stonestreet was asked to leave Dodger Stadium Saturday after he and a St. Louis Cardinals fan got into a verbal altercation.
The Cardinals fan was also asked to leave.
Stonestreet, who turned 41 last week, plays Cameron, the clown-loving, flamboyant half of a gay couple on the popular ABC sitcom.
He supposedly said something to the other man after the Cardinals fan heckled a Dodgers player, TMZ.com reported.
TMZ said the verbal altercation never escalated to the point where either man threatened the other.
TMZ updated their story later to say Stonestreet tweeted: "i did NOT get kicked out of the Dodgers game last night. did i get escorted to the top of the stairs by security? yes. yes i sure did."
