Walmart Pulls Infant Formula From Store Shelves After Newborn's Death
LOS ANGELES (CBS) — A popular infant formula is no longer being sold at local Walmart stores following the death of a newborn.
A baby in Missouri became ill with a rare bacterial infection after consuming Enfamil Newborn powder. He was later taken off life support.
The government has yet to issue an official recall for the 12.5-ounce cans with lot number ZP1K7G.
The manufacturer, Mead Johnson Nutrition, says its product has tested negative for the suspected bacterium.
