Victims of deadly shooting near downtown LA smoke shop identified
Authorities have identified the victims of a deadly shooting that happened outside of a smoke shop in downtown Los Angeles over the weekend.
It happened just after midnight on Saturday morning outside of the Cloud Smoke Shop, located in the 500 block of S. Los Angeles Street near Maple Avenue, according to the Los Angeles Police Department.
Officers dispatched to the area for reports of shots fired arrived and found a man suffering from multiple gunshot wounds, a statement from the department said.
They found a second victim suffering from gunshot wounds a few blocks away. Both were declared dead at the scene by Los Angeles Fire Department paramedics.
Investigators also found a third victim who was also wounded, but refused to cooperate with their investigation, the LAPD statement said.
The two deceased victims have been identified as 22-year-old Enrique Diaz Jr. and 22-year-old Natvell Wilson by the Los Angeles Department of Medical Examiner.
No information has yet been provided on a suspect or motive in the incident and detectives are working to determine if the incident is gang-related.
