Victims Identified In Fatal Calabasas Plane Crash
CALABASAS (CBSLA.com) — The Los Angeles County Coroner has released the names of the two people who died last month in a deadly mid-air collision.
The two Cessna 172s collided at 2:01 p.m. on April 29 over Ventura County.
One plane was forced to crash land on Westlake Golf Course in Westlake Village. All three passengers suffered non-life threatening injuries
The second plane crashed into a mountainside at Malibu Creek State Park in Calabasas, igniting a small brush fire.
Cheryl Jolene Strawn, 69, and Christopher Wade, 63, died in the crash, the coroner's office said. Their hometowns are unknown.
