Danny Granger To Join Clippers Friday

LOS ANGELES (CBSLA.com) - Head coach Doc Rivers says veteran forward Danny Granger has informed him that he will join the Los Angeles Clippers Friday, according to Yahoo Sports.

Granger, who reached a buyout agreement with the 76ers Wednesday, is expected to clear waivers by 2PM Friday and formally sign with the Clippers.

The 30-year-old swing-man has expressed his desire to play for the team that will give him the best opportunity to have a major role and impact while contending for a title.

Granger, who is close to reaching the 10,000-point mark, has a career average of 17.6 points with the Pacers.
