Whether dining out or eating in on Valentine's Day, the holiday brings lovers, friends and family together. Restaurants all over L.A. are planning special holiday menus for the romantic holiday. Most venues suggest saying "I love you" by making reservations before February 14th so you aren't planning last minute. From heart-shaped sushi rolls and indulgent entrees to "kiss me" cocktails and generous dessert plates, these five hot spots give you Valentine's Day dinner options all over the city.

For a sensual Valentine's Day dinner, celebrate at the modern Japanese fusion Koi Restaurant. The Koi team is going all out for sweethearts with specialty heart-shaped sushi rolls and a trio dessert platter to entice your senses. Consider Koi's white kiss roll, which contains scallion, yellowtail and cucumber wrapped in soy and topped a lemon lime sauce,  halibut and tomatoes. The seabass spring roll, wrapped in radicchio and rice paper drizzled with habanero ponzu salsa, is another good option. Perfect to share, the dessert platter ($15) includes 5-layer chocolate cake, macaroon ice cream and a chocolate covered strawberry. Before the night ends, toast your lover with a strawberry martini with a champagne twist ($12).

The cozy dining destination, Bel Air Bar + Grill invites lovers for romance. The newly renovated restaurant with beamed ceilings and fireplaces offers a 3-course prix-fixe menu ($75/per person plus tax and 20 percent gratuity). Begin the evening with a glass of champagne and a beautifully prepared first course, which includes Bel Air Bar + Grill oysters, lobster bisque, or a heart shaped-beet and burrata salad with baby kale, tangerines, walnuts dressed with a citrus herb vinaigrette. Main entrée options include Mary's Natural Airline Chicken Breast, which comes with roasted peewee potatoes, heirloom carrots, sweet corn, onions and pea shoots; a pan roasted branzino with sautéed spinach, sweet carrot faro and lemon pepper dressing; or filet mignon with red potato hash, French green beans, baby squash prepared with port wine sauce. The grand finale is fresh berries topped with crème fraiche.

In honor of Valentine's Day begin the evening with BLT STEAK's Cupid's Kiss cocktail (Stoli raspberry vodka, grand marnier cognac, cranberry and sparkling wine $16). Chef de Cuisine Robert Liberato prepares a menu of starters with citrus crusted diver sea scallops, braised fennel and American caviar ($18), seared pork belly, braised baby bok choy cooked in a white miso ($20) and warm Beausoleil oysters and cucumber in ice wine Nage ($19). The steakhouse bistro will serve main entrees including a rosemary crusted lamb loin with a meyer lemon confit ($36) and an arctic char papillote complimented by braised endive and wild mushroom jus ($32). Special side plates to be shared feature a porcini mac & cheese made with black truffle and fresh Parmesan ($12) and broccolini accented with garlic chips and lemon olive oil ($10).

Saddle Peak Lodge, a Four Diamond and Michelin recommended restaurant, is expecting a full dining room on Valentine's Day. Executive Chef Adam Horton and Chef de Cuisine Chris Kufek collaborate on a four-course dinner with optional wine pairings. The prix-fixe menu ($150/per person) includes options for the meat eater, fish lover, vegetarian and wine lover. Known for its regular menu of game (elk and buffalo) and seafood (rainbow trout, sea bass and more), Saddle Peak Lodge calls for a dress code of business casual and is denim-friendly (jacket and tie are not necessary).
