USOC & LA 2024 To Host Media Teleconference From Switzerland

LOS ANGELES (CBSLA.com) — The United States Olympic Committee and the group LA 2024 will be hosting a media teleconference on Thursday following a meeting in Switzerland.

The 2024 bid team will have a meeting with International Olympic Committee President Thomas Bach prior to the conference in order to learn more information about Los Angeles' possibility of hosting the 2024 games.

Members of the team that will be a part of the call on Thursday include Los Angeles mayor Eric Garcetti, USOC Chairman Larry Probst, USOC CEO Scott Blackmun, and LA 2024 Chairman, Casey Wasserman.

The call is scheduled to take place at 10:30 AM Central European Time, or 1:30 AM Pacific Standard Time.

The teleconference will be hosted from the Olympic capital of Lausanne, Switzerland, following the meeting with Bach.

The conference comes just days after it was officially announced that Los Angeles would be the US' bidder for the 2024 Olympics.
