USC Wants Home Game In Wichita Against Jayhawks
LAWRENCE, Kan. (AP) -- Kansas may play USC next December in Wichita, Kan., and it would be a home game for the Trojans.
Kansas coach Bill Self confirmed Tuesday that USC has asked that the game be moved from Los Angeles to Wichita's Intrust Arena, which seats about 15,000.
The two signed a home-and-home agreement last year. Kansas beat the Trojans 70-68 in Allen Fieldhouse last Dec. 18 and now owes a return game.
A Kansas game in Wichita would be a sure sellout. Gate proceeds would all go to USC.
Jim Marchiony, Kansas' associate athletic director, said the game would be played in December.
