USC, UCLA Beef Up Game-Day Security
LOS ANGELES (AP) — USC and UCLA are teaming up to protect fans during this weekend's annual cross-town football contest, which was marred last year by two stabbings and a brawl during pre-game partying.
A joint statement this week said security staff will be beefed up and will work with police, the FBI and other agencies before and during Saturday night's game at Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum.

The schools urge fans to be respectful and said tailgate party rules will be enforced.
About 40 fans brawled and two people were stabbed last December in the parking lot before the Trojans-Bruins game at Pasadena's Rose Bowl. One man was sentenced to more than 15 years in prison for the non-fatal attacks. His brother and sister received lesser sentences.
