USC Issues Crime Alert For Alleged Oct. 2013 Sexual Assault

LOS ANGELES (CBSLA.com) — Authorities Friday were investigating an alleged sexual assault that occurred two years ago at a University of Southern California fraternity house.

The campus Department of Public Safety issued a crime alert regarding the alleged incident that took place in late October 2013 on Greek Row.

The alert states a date drug may have been used in the crime.

"An investigation into this incident and previous incidents is ongoing at this time and the perpetrator or perpetrators will be held accountable," school officials said in a statement. "The USC campus community takes crimes of this nature very seriously and fully intends to prevent and stop sexual assault on our campus and in our community."

No further details were released.
