'Unknown' Tops Presidents Day Weekend Box Office
LOS ANGELES (CBS) — The Warner Bros. action-thriller "Unknown" made a name for itself at the box office this Presidents Day weekend, bringing in an estimated $25.6 million over four days, according to preliminary figures from Hollywood.com.
Disney's "Gnomeo and Juliet," brought in an estimated $24.8 million in ticket sales to take second place during its second weekend in release, according to Hollywood.com.
Dreamworks' thriller "I Am Number Four" took third place over its Presidents Day weekend debut, grossing $22.6 million.
"Just Go With It," starring Adam Sandler and Jennifer Aniston, came in fourth during its second weekend in release, bringing in $21.7 million over four days and pushing its cumulative gross to $64.3 million, according to Hollywood.com.
Rounding out the top 10 were:
-- "Big Mommas: Like Father, Like Son," $19 million;
--"Justin Bieber: Never Say Never," 16.5 million;
-- "The King's Speech," $7.9 million;
-- "The Roommate," $4.5 million;
-- "The Eagle," $4.3 million;
-- "No Strings Attached," $3.7 million.
