UnitedHealthcare Cuts 180 Jobs In Santa Ana
SANTA ANA (CBS) — One hundred and eighty jobs have been cut by UnitedHealthcare Medicare & Retirement in Santa Ana as part of a company consolidation.
The company is working to streamline activities being carried out in multiple locations, a company spokesman told the Orange County Register. The Santa Ana work will be moved to other locations, including Minnesota, Wisconsin and Virginia.
The layoffs were announced Thursday and were the most recent for the company in Orange County.
UnitedHealthcare Medicare & Retirement is one of six operating businesses of UnitedHealth Group. About 7,000 UnitedHealth Group workers are still employed in California.
