Unidentified Woman Sought In FBI Hunt For Suspected Child Sex Predator

LOS ANGELES (CBSLA.com) — Federal investigators Tuesday sought the public's assistance in identifying a woman who may have information about the sexual abuse of a minor.

KNX 1070's Claudia Peschiutta reported that the unidentified female, known as Jane Doe #26, may know or have association with the man accused of abusing a young girl between six and eight years old over the past several years.

The woman is also believed to have been in contact with the victim, who was reportedly photographed and videotaped while engaging in sexually explicit activities.

The child may have been swimming at the Desert Hot Springs Spa & Hotel on March 16, 2010, according to authorities. Anyone who took pictures or video on or around that date has been asked to contact the FBI.

"There are clues taken from images and video of real child pornography. We have clues that this is taking place in the San Bernardino area, perhaps the vicinity of Desert Hot Springs. Some of the images we have are of the victim swimming in a pool at a hotel in Desert Hot Springs. Another image is of the little girl wearing a 'Junior Fire Marshal' hat from San Bernardino County," said FBI spokeswoman Laura Eimiller.

Jane Doe #26 was described as possibly Hispanic, likely between the ages of 25 and 35, with dark hair and brown eyes.

The suspect was described as a white man between 40 and 50 years old, 5 feet 11 inches tall, with a medium build and possibly reddish-blond or red hair.

Anyone with information about the case was urged to contact their local FBI office or call the FBI's toll-free tip line at 1-800-CALL-FBI.
