Unarmed Man Robs Bank In Tustin

TUSTIN (CBSLA.com) — Police are on the lookout for an apparently unarmed man who robbed a bank in the city of Tustin.

A US Bank branch, 13471 Newport Ave., was robbed Wednesday at about 3:30 p.m. when a man handed a teller a note, demanding money, Tustin Police said.

The teller complied, giving the robber an undisclosed amount of cash, and he fled on foot in an unknown direction. No injuries were reported, police said.

The robber was described as a white man between 40 and 50 years old, about 6 foot with a medium build. He wore a brown hat, brown sports coat, unknown color plaid shirt and brown pants and a pair of black-framed, prescription glasses.
