UCLA To Remember John Wooden On His 100th Birthday
LOS ANGELES (CBS) — UCLA students will honor John Wooden Thursday, which would have been the late basketball coach's 100th birthday.
Wooden, who died June 4, coached UCLA to 10 NCAA championships in 12 seasons.
UCLA students will visit UCLA Community School in Koreatown and University High School in West Los Angeles to speak with students about the values Wooden championed, including his Pyramid of Success.
A portrait of Wooden will also be unveiled at UCLA's John Wooden Center, where a ceremony will be held with former UCLA and Laker player Keith Erickson and UCLA athletic director Dan Guerrero.
