UCLA Head Coach Jim Mora Kicks Media And Own SID Out Of Practice
WESTWOOD (CBSLA.com) - Pac-12 teams and the local media continue to battle to do their weekly reports and interviews.
Last week, USC head coach Lane Kiffin bolted the presser after practice after a reporter asked a question regarding injuries.
A week later, Wednesday morning, Jim Mora kicked out the all the media because camera men were wandering in restricted areas during practice.
"Today's practice was closed because we didn't have proper security," Mora said to the LA Times. "I'm not going to jeopardize what we're doing as a football team because of the incompetence of some people."
Angered Mora blamed UCLA's Sports Information department because there was a lack of security, so he kicked out their employees, too.
Mora will re-open the media session Thursday.
The Pac-12 has no rule on reporting injuries to the media.
