UCLA Fires RB Coach Steve Broussard
WESTWOOD (CBSLA.com) — UCLA isn't wasting any time in trying to improve its football team following the conclusion of the regular season.
The Bruins cut ties with running backs coach Steve Broussard on Monday, according to BruinReportOnline.com's David Woods.
In the same announcement, Woods reported that the likely replacement for Broussard may be former running back DeShawn Foster.
Foster, who is currently a graduate assistant with the team, played running back for the Bruins between 1998-2001, before a career in the NFL that lasted six seasons.
Broussard, an LA native, played college ball at Washington State and spent nine years in the NFL. He seemed to confirm his firing in a tweet posted on his account Monday:
Not my will , but Gods will be done ...!! Thanks again @UCLACoachMora for the chance to come back home .. #muchlove #bruinstaff

Broussard was hired by UCLA in 2011.
