2 Suspects Wanted For Stabbing Teen At Essex Park In Montclair
MONTCLAIR (CBSLA.com) — Police sought the public's help on Monday to locate two suspects who are wanted for stabbing a teenager at Essex Park.
According to the Montclair Police Department, the incident unfolded just after 10 p.m. on Sunday, located in the 11200 block of Essex Avenue.
Upon their arrival to Essex Park, officers learned a 16-year-old male contacted an acquaintance, along with an unknown person, at the west dugout.
At one point, the stranger brandished a knife from his waistband and began to thrust it towards the victim.
According to police, paramedics transported the victim to Arrowhead Regional Medical Center for treatment of a stab wound in the stomach, and a laceration to the left side of his eye and his left fingers.
At this time, he remains listed in stable condition.
Detectives described one of the suspects as a Hispanic woman who has black hair and eyes, stands 5-foot-7 tall, weighs 150 pounds and has a "B" tattooed on her right hand. She was last seen wearing a black shirt with black shorts.
The second suspect was described as a Hispanic man who has a slim build, stands 6-feet-tall and has possible facial tattoos. He was last seen wearing a tan shirt, blue jean shorts and black shoes.
The investigation is ongoing.
