Two People Injured In Malibu Car Crash Causing Temporary Lane Closures
MALIBU (CBS) — Two people were injured Saturday in a single-car accident on Pacific Coast Highway in Malibu that temporarily closed down lanes, according to a Los Angeles County Fire Department supervisor.
The crash at Big Rock Beach in Malibu was reported at 5:13p.m., according to the Malibu City Manager's office.
"Two people required extrication from their vehicle and at least one of them was transported to the hospital for treatment of their injuries," said L.A. County fire Dispatch Supervisor Andre Gougis. "However, the second person may also have been transported later. I don't know the extent of their injuries."
The crash prompted the shutdown of the westbound lanes of PCH at Big Rock Beach until about 6:05 p.m. when the road was reopened, a desk deputy at the Malibu station said.
The cause of the crash was under investigation.
