Twilight Fan Killed Outside Comic-Con
SAN DIEGO (CBS) — A Twilight fan was struck by a car and killed while waiting in line to get into a Comic-Con session Tuesday.
San Diego Police Lt. Andrea Brown says 53-year-old woman had run onto Harbor Drive, saw a car, tried to stop, then either tripped or fell into the side of the vehicle, KNX 1070's Tom Reopelle reports.

The woman died at a hospital.
The 67-year-old driver was not cited.
According to the San Diego Union Tribune, the woman was in a crosswalk and had run a red light when she tried to secure her place near the front of the line for a panel on "The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn Part 2." She had been in line since Sunday for the panel, scheduled for Thursday.
Lionsgate and Summit Entertainment, the film's distributors, released the following statement late Tuesday: "Lionsgate, Summit and the entire 'Twilight' community are saddened by the death of a Comic-Con fan today due to a traffic accident during the hours leading up to this year's convention in San Diego. Our thoughts and condolences go out to the victim's family and friends. She will be respectfully remembered this Thursday in Hall H."
