Turner's Halftime Speech Saves Season

SAN DIEGO (AP) -- The San Diego Chargers are getting reacquainted with the feeling that comes with winning a game.

A three-game losing streak filled with blunders ended with Sunday's 33-25 win against Tennessee, which the players widely credited to coach Norv Turner's emotional halftime speech.

Quarterback Philip Rivers says the Chargers can't get too comfortable because all it means is they're 3-5 going into next Sunday's game at Houston.

Even if the Chargers can beat the Texans, they won't be where they expected heading into their bye. But, says Rivers, "certainly we'll be headed in the right direction."

Also Monday, safety Steve Gregory returned from his four-game suspension for violating the NFL's policy on performance-enhancing substances.
