Turner Takes Accountability For Blundering Bolts

SAN DIEGO (AP) -- Norv Turner says he's accountable for the San Diego Chargers getting off to the worst start in his four seasons as head coach.

The Chargers tumbled to 2-4 with a 20-17 loss Sunday to the St. Louis Rams, who won only one game last season.

Turner says he'll do everything he can to make sure the Chargers get their many problems straightened out.

Some Chargers might have felt it was going to be an easy day, because Turner says he sensed frustration on the sideline when San Diego didn't get off to a fast start.

The Chargers fell behind 17-0 in the first half.

Turner hopes tight end Antonio Gates can bounce back from a sprained toe and play Sunday against New England.
