Turner: 'Rivers Is Pressing'
SAN DIEGO (AP) -- Chargers coach Norv Turner says quarterback Philip Rivers is pressing and at times is trying to do more than he needs to do.
The coach's assessment came a day after Rivers had one of the biggest blunders of his career, fumbling the snap with the Chargers driving deep in Kansas City territory in the final minute of a 20-20 game. The Chiefs recovered and went on to win 23-20 and forge a three-way tie with Oakland and San Diego atop the AFC West.
Rivers also threw two interceptions, giving him 11 this season, compared to seven touchdown passes. He's lost a total of three fumbles.
The QB wasn't alone. Veteran left tackle Marcus McNeill committed six penalties: four false starts, one holding and one for illegal use of hands.
Up next is a home game against the undefeated Green Bay Packers.
