Turkish Airlines Responds To Kobe Bryant Controversy
LOS ANGELES (CBS) — Turkish Airlines responds to the controversy surrounding their hire of LA Laker Kobe Bryant as a spokesman.

Kobe Bryant, a world class athlete and globally recognizable figure, is a natural choice to represent the Turkish Airlines brand and an extension of the bilateral basketball relationship between Turkey and the United States. Kobe will help Turkish Airlines grow its presence in the U.S., as well as help promote modern Turkey as a travel destination.
Kobe Bryant is a cultural figure, not a historian, and is in no way related to a sensitive and complex controversy over highly contested history."
