Trump To Appear On Tuesday Night's 'Late Show With Stephen Colbert'

NEW YORK (CBSLA.com) — It's the ultimate face-off.

Donald Trump has been invited on Tuesday night's "The Late Show with Stephen Colbert," matching up the man who's arguably the most polarizing figure in American politics with a host who's made a career out of skewering conservative politics.

But Trump won't be talking to the "arch-conservative blowhard" character Colbert played on "The Daily Show" and "The Colbert Report."

He's going to be speaking with Stephen Colbert, a host who told his audience Monday night to stop booing Texas Sen. Ted Cruz while he was questioning him about his gay marriage stance.

"Guys, however you feel, he's my guest, so please don't boo," Colbert told the crowd before allowing Cruz to continue.

It'll be interesting to see what kind of questions Colbert prepares for Trump and what kind of tone the discussion takes.

Tune in to CBS2 Tuesday night at 11:35/10:35c for the interview you don't want to miss.
