Trumbo Awarded Sporting News Rookie Of Year Honors

ANAHEIM, Calif. (CBS) - Former Villa Park High School player, Mark Trumbo of the Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim, has won the Sporting News American League Rookie of the Year honors.

Trumbo led the team with 29 home runs and 87 RBIs, the only rookie to do so for the Halos.

This is the ninth Angel to receive the award.
