Truck Lane Project To Prompt Lane Closures On Interstate 5 In Santa Clarita
SANTA CLARITA (CBSLA.com) — Caltrans Friday announced that several lanes of Interstate 5 will be closed overnight from March 17 through March 22.
From 9 p.m. to 6 a.m. on the affected dates, up to three lanes of the northbound and southbound sides of the freeway will be closed between the end of the existing truck lane and Lyons Avenue.
The closures are part of a $72 million project to construct a truck lane on the southbound side of the freeway between Pico Canyon Road and Lyons Avenue.
The project began in May of 2012 and is expected to be completed next year.
