Tribute To The Late Jenni Rivera Opens On Mother's Day
LOS ANGELES (CBSLA.com) — A tribute to the late Jenni Rivera opens this weekend.
The exhibition at the GRAMMY Museum at L.A. Live opens on Mother's Day and focuses on the singer as the "Diva of Banda."
The 43-year-old singer's costumes and awards along with rare photographs and fan memorabilia will be on display.
The exhibit even includes Rivera's driver's license and Costco membership card.
The family says this is the first time an entire exhibit at the museum is dedicated to a Latina.
"The dresses are gorgeous but they are literally her size," Rivera's sister, Rosie Rivera Flores, said. "So you almost want to hug them and hold on and not let go or break through the glass and just touch her. Smell her. That's how real the exhibit is."
The Mexican-American music superstar and four others died in December when their plane crashed in Mexico.
