Trial Set For Tuesday In Bobby Brown Drunken Driving Case
VAN NUYS (CBSLA.com) — Singer Bobby Brown is scheduled to go on trial Tuesday morning in the San Fernando Valley on drunken driving charges.
The 43-year-old has pleaded not guilty to DUI, driving on a restricted license, and driving a car without an ignition-lock device, according to the Los Angeles District Attorney's office.
Brown, the ex-husband of late singer Whitney Houston, was arrested in Tarzana in October 2012 after police pulled him over for driving erratically.
He was also arrested in March for DUI and pleaded no contest to those charges. He was sentenced to a 90-day alcohol program, three years probation, and a $390 fine plus penalty assessments.
The singer has a DUI conviction on his record stemming from an arrest in Georgia in 1996. He pleaded guilty and served eight days in jail.
