'Toys R Us' Expands Layaway Program In Advance Of Holiday Shopping
LOS ANGELES (CBS) — Cash-strapped parents who want to get a head start on their holiday shopping will have a new option this year.
Toys R Us says it's expanding its layaway program, which recently only included big-ticket items such as bikes and swing sets, to include most of its inventory.
Beginning on Oct. 15, shoppers will be able to put things such a dolls and building blocks on layaway.
Toys R Us says it will also offer online shoppers an option to be billed later.
