With nearly 100 individual garden sites, this community garden in Alhambra is known for their distinctive vegetables from Asia and South America. The garden is named after Winston Smoyer, a former Alhambra High School teacher who provided friends with some of the largest zucchini known to Alhambra.

Located in West Los Angeles, Ocean View Farms has great, rich compost perfect for gardeners. They boast over 500 garden plots and flower gardens. Ocean View also has community meetings and potlucks. Plot rental fees are $30 per plot. All of the maintenance and upkeep at the farm is done through community work requirements.

Located on Main Street, these gardens are integrated right into the neighborhood, making gardening convenient and easy. There are 69 individual plots and three garden locations: Main Street, Park Drive, and Euclid Park. The fee is $75 per calendar year. Santa Monica even holds gardening workshops.

The Milagro Allegro garden is located behind the historic Highland Theater on 10,000 square feet of land. The relatively new garden welcomed their first group of gardens in 2009, and now boasts 32 plots— 29 of which are available to the community on a yearly basis. Three plots are reserved for education purposes as part of a partnership with local schools.

The Venice Community Garden was founded in 2010 and is a 6000 square feet site in the Silver Triangle. Boasting 4 x 12 plots and even mural artwork, the space was previously a vacant lot. This Venice oasis was modeled after Milagro Allegro Community Garden.
