Lake Forest Apartment Complex Damaged By 3-Alarm Fire

LAKE FOREST (CBSLA.com) — A three-alarm fire damaged an apartment complex in Orange County and displaced a total of 25 residents.

The fire broke out just after 4 a.m. Saturday at the large complex in the 25000 block of Farthing Street in Lake Forest.

According to investigators, four apartments were damaged while a total of eight units were evacuated.

"The fire was extremely hot and intense," Orange County Fire Authority Capt. Steve Concialdi said. "Orange County Sheriff's deputies did an excellent job of evacuating many residents."

The captain also said that two firefighters were taken to area hospitals for treatment of minor burns to their ears.

The fire was put out just before 5:30 a.m.

No further information was available.
