Text Message Offering $1K As A Walmart Gift Card Likely A Scam
(CBS) — A text message offering a $1,000 Walmart gift card is hitting cell phones across the country.
The Better Business Bureau reports that the scam to steal personal information comes in several variations, including:
• "You just won a free $1000 Walmart Gift Card, enter "1000" at LINK."
• "Walmart $1000 gift card for the first 1000 users to go to LINK and enter code 2938."
