'Terminator 2' Star Edward Furlong Charged In Domestic Violence Assault
LOS ANGELES (CBSLA.com) — "Terminator 2" star Edward Furlong was charged Tuesday with assaulting his girlfriend and threatening her if she called police.
Furlong, 35, pleaded not guilty to felony charges of dissuading a witness by force or threat, assault by means to likely produce great bodily injury, vandalism over $400, and a misdemeanor charge of disobeying a domestic restraining order, said Los Angeles Deputy District Attorney Linda Loftfield. He was being held on $100,000 bail.
Furlong, who had two pending misdemeanor battery cases, allegedly violated a restraining order when he returned to the victim's West Hollywood home May 21 and assaulted her. He's also accused of damaging a laptop and photo equipment.
The pending cases, which involved reported incidents in Nov. 2012 and Jan. 2013 against the same woman, were dismissed after prosecutors included two charges in the new case.
If convicted, Furlong faces up to four years in state prison.
