Teen Injured In Deputy-Involved Shooting In Compton

LOS ANGELES (CBS) — A young man was wounded Wednesday in a deputy-involved shooting in Compton, authorities said.

The shooting occurred about 10:55 a.m. in the 1000 block of West Stockwell Street, according to the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department.

The 19-year-old man was transported for hospital treatment, but his condition was unclear.

The circumstances of the shooting remained under investigation.

No deputies were injured in the shooting.
