Teen Allegedly Caught With Knife, Drugs On School Grounds
LAKE ELSINORE (CBSLA.com) — A teenager was allegedly caught with a knife and drugs at a high school in Lake Elsinore earlier this week.
The unidentified suspect was arrested Tuesday and then later released to his parents after a probe by the Riverside County Sheriff's Department, said Sgt. Ken Chaffin.
A deputy working security at Elsinore High School was told about a teen who was reportedly selling methamphetamine and marijuana on the campus, according to Chaffin.
Chaffin said 2.8 grams of packaged meth and a switchblade were found in the teen's belongings.
The suspect, who was suspended, could face permanent expulsion, the sergeant said.
