Tarantino's '64 Chevelle Stolen On Pulp Fiction Set Found After 19 Years

VICTORVILLE (CBSLA.com) — It's a Hollywood ending for director Quentin Tarantino's classic 1964 Chevrolet Chevelle Malibu, stolen from the set of Pulp Fiction in 1994.

The vehicle has been recovered by investigators after 19 years.

A San Bernardino County Sheriff's Deputy on April 18 found two men stripping the car in Victorville.

He ran the VIN number on the car and discovered it was registered to a vehicle in Oakland.

Police in Oakland investigated and realized the number had been cloned and the car was Tarantino's.

The cherry red classic was driven by John Travolta's character, Vince Vega.

The man who owned the vehicle is not believed to be connected with the theft.

It was unclear at press time if the car had been returned to Tarantino.

An investigation into the theft is ongoing.
