Tanker Truck Collides With Train In South Gate
SOUTH GATE (CBS) — A tanker truck has collided with a freight train in South Gate.
The collision occurred around 12 p.m. Friday and caused 100 gallons of nontoxic lubricating oil to leak from the truck.
The spilled oil, which was not flammable, was diked by firefighters, and there was no health hazard, said county fire Inspector Matt Levesque.
The accident happened near Salt Lake Avenue and Ardine Street.
There is no word if the truck driver suffered any injuries.
Authorities were investigating the cause of the crash.
