SWAT team responds to armed man barricaded in home in Norwalk
A sheriff's SWAT team was in the 12300 block of Allard Street in Norwalk where a man believed to be armed was barricaded inside a home Saturday. Surrounding homes were evacuated for safety, the Sheriff's Information Bureau said.
Deputies were called at 1:56 p.m. Deputies said it started with a neighbor dispute over a dog. The man then fired a gun into the air and then barricaded himself in his home.
A Crisis Negotiation Team made contact with the man.
Around 6:30 p.m. deputies said the man was in custody and neighbors were safe.
