Wild, High Speed Chase Ends In South LA With Suspects Trying To Flee
LOS ANGELES (CBS) — Authorities pursued a sport utility-vehicle carrying four suspected burglars Tuesday afternoon from Castaic through South Los Angeles.
The chase ended with a PIT manuever and the suspects fleeing on foot. Police say three have been apprehended. One of the suspects remains at large.
The pursuit began after 2 p.m. The suspects led the chase at speeds as high as 100 mph.
Sheriff's deputies responding to a burglary call began the chase, which saw the suspects drive wildly on freeway shoulders and weave in and out of traffic.
The fourth suspect is believed to be in the vicinity of Flower and Vernon Streets.
