Bomb Squad Investigates Suspicious Device Near El Camino Real High

WOODLAND HILLS (CBS) — El Camino Real High School was briefly placed on lockdown Wednesday afternoon as police investigated a suspicious vehicle parked nearby.

Los Angeles Unified School District officials say students were allowed to go home, exiting from the Mariano side of campus. After-school activities were canceled as police continue their investigation.

The car reportedly belonged to a student who found a suspicious package with wires sticking out inside.

By Wednesday evening, officials gave the car and the package the all clear.
