Metro Red Line Service Resumes After Discovery Of Suspicious Packages
HOLLYWOOD (CBSLA.com) — Service has resumed on the Metro Red Line subway in Hollywood after being temporarily disrupted due to two suspicious packages.
The packages were discovered about 2:30 p.m. Tuesday at the subway station at Hollywood Boulevard and North Highland Avenue.
The stoppage had impacted the Hollywood and Vine and Universal City stations, prompting officials to use buses to get riders around the station.
As of 5:30 p.m., however, service had resumed after authorities determined that the packages contained clothing.
