Suspicious Package Reported At Bank Near USC
LOS ANGELES (CBSLA.com) — A bomb squad was sent out Monday to a bank near USC to investigate a suspicious package.
University officials sent an alert at 11:12 a.m. to its students and staff to a police-related incident in progress at Chase Bank on the ground floor of Gateway Apartment building, on the northwest corner of Figueroa and Jefferson Boulevard.
The bank was evacuated and a bomb squad was sent out to investigate, LAPD officials said.
An alert sent out by USC at 12:32 p.m. said the unidentified package contained nothing hazardous and that it was safe to return to the area.
