LOS ANGELES (CBSLA.com) — A suspicious package left in the parking lot of a county building was deemed to be non-hazardous, according to authorities.
Deputy personnel said the package -- found around 3:50 p.m. in the 7500 block of Van Nuys Boulevard in Los Angeles -- was misplaced and not purposely left at the location.
The package included an electronic tool with some wires attached, said deputies.
Officials with the arson squad and explosive detail were called to the rear parking lot of Mid-Valley Comprehensive Health Center to investigate.
The package was discovered by Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department County Services Bureau personnel.
