Suspicious Package Investigated At USC

LOS ANGELES (CBS) — Investigators were called to USC where a suspicious package was reported.

The item was discovered at the Hedco Neuro-Sciences building at Watt Way and Downey Way on the University Park Campus. The building was evacuated, according to the university's newspaper, the Daily Trojan.

Authorities closed off Watt Way from Childs Way to south of Downey Way and asked students, faculty and staff to stay away from the area.

The package was later retrieved and determined not to be a threat.
