Arraignment For Stow Beating Suspects Postponed Until August

LOS ANGELES (CBS) — Arraignment for the two suspects in the late March beating of San Francisco Giants' fan Bryan Stow has been postponed until August 10.

Louie Sanchez, 29, and 30-year-old Marvin Norwood both face felony charges of assault and battery.

KNX 1070's Jon Baird reports.

Sanchez has already been charged with two misdemeanor counts of battery stemming from an assault on two other people at Dodger Stadium.

Sanchez's attorney, Gilbert Quinones, said his client doesn't fit the profile of someone who would carry out the attack on Stow. "He was at the game, but wasn't involved in the attack from what I know," Gilbert said.

A public defender for Norwood attempted to get his client's bail reduced, claiming Norwood had a stable home and job and had never been to prison. The judge denied the request, saying that Norwood was a "danger to the community."

Doreen Sanchez, 31, was also arrested for her alleged role as the getaway driver. She was released Friday on $50,000 bail and faces a court appearance on Aug. 19.

A bail hearing for Sanchez was scheduled for Aug. 1.
