Suspects Arrested After Liquor Store Barricade
LOS ANGELES (CBSLA.com) — Four suspects were in custody after a barricade situation at a Los Angeles liquor store on Monday.
The standoff began around 3:35 p.m. at the Mickey's Liquor store at 13512 Valley Blvd. in the La Puente area, according to Deputy Donald Hicks of the Industry Sheriff's Station.
Deputies arrived after a robbery alarm was set off and saw two individuals exiting the store and running towards a nearby vehicle.
When they spotted law enforcement on the scene, they immediately returned back inside the store, SKY9's Derek Bell reported. Two men waiting in the vehicle were arrested.
Deputies ordered the remaining two suspects to leave the store, but they refused for hours before finally surrendering without incident shortly before 6:00 p.m.
No injuries were reported.
